Are you looking for information about the tattoo studio that offers the best customer service in Nice and the surrounding areas? You've found it!
Tattoo questions.
I have questions / I want a tattoo, how do I get started?
Let’s begin with the first contact…
For any information, you can reach out to us through the form on our website, preferably via Instagram or Facebook. We’ll be happy to assist you.
If you have a specific project in mind, we can discuss it further if you share your idea with us as clearly as possible, with or without reference images, and specify the size in centimeters and the placement. That said, the easiest and most practical way is to visit us directly at the studio so we can better understand your project and discuss it face-to-face. This way, we can provide you with the most accurate information because it's important to keep in mind that each tattoo is unique and also depends on the style you want. Plus, it allows us to give you personalized advice based on your body type. And the other advantage of coming in person is that we can chat over a coffee, which is always nicer. 😉

But I just want a small tattoo, something simple that doesn’t require a lot of prep work. Do you do walk-ins?
Walk-ins are definitely an option at our shop. We’ll be happy to take care of you if one of our tattoo artists is available. You can drop by the studio on a whim and hope for the best, or play it safe by giving us a call beforehand to check if we’re free. 😉 If we can fit you in, we’ll do it right away; if not, we’ll schedule the next available slot that works for you. We’re open to tattooing the design of your choice, and if you’re up for it, we can even personalize it a bit to give you a unique piece, even as a walk-in. If you’re someone who likes to decide on the spot, we have plenty of books filled with different designs you can choose from when you arrive.
Once we’ve agreed on the project, what happens next?
The tattoo artist whose style matches your project will start drawing your design. If your project exceeds 200 euros, a 50-euro deposit will be required to begin the drawing process. This amount will be deducted from the final price, which you’ll pay on the day of your session. (Please note that we only accept cash payments.)
Once the design is ready, we’ll notify you by SMS so you can come and take a look to see if it meets your expectations or if any modifications are needed. We’ll take as much time as necessary to ensure everything is perfect and aligns with your vision. You’re welcome to come and review the design multiple times if needed, and you can even bring someone along if you’d like a second opinion. However, we NEVER send project designs over the internet. The creations remain the property of the artist.
When you come in to view the design, it will also be a good time to schedule your tattoo session.

The design is perfect. What’s next?
Once everything is to your liking, it’s time to book your appointment together... Appointments must be made in person, directly at the shop. No appointments will be scheduled over the phone or the internet. If it hasn’t been done already (for projects under 200 euros), a deposit will be required to reserve your slot.
On the day of your appointment, plan for some extra time—we prefer to take the necessary time to finish the tattoo under good conditions without rushing. Of course, you can take breaks whenever you need, whether it's to grab a bite, use the restroom, etc. This is one of the reasons why it’s difficult to say exactly how long your session will last.

Do I need to do anything special to prepare for the appointment?
If there’s one thing you should do, it’s to relax. Above all, don’t stress—your session will go smoothly, and we’ll take great care of you, so come with peace of mind. :)
The advice we usually give our clients for larger designs is simply to get a good night’s sleep beforehand and eat well on the day of your session. Obviously, avoid partying the night before your tattoo appointment, even if you think you can power through the next day. Drinking can thin your blood, making you bleed more, which might prevent your skin from absorbing the ink properly. Keep that in mind, and your tattoo artist will thank you! Plus, this way, you’ll arrive calm and in top shape. As for everything else, we’ll take care of it. ;)

The Big Day...
You're all set, feeling fresh and ready, super excited to get your tattoo, and you arrive at the shop. We’ll take the time to chat, make sure you’re comfortable, and go over the project once more to ensure everything still meets your expectations. Then, we’re ready to go.
We’ll start by having you fill out an informed consent form, which will explain some key points about your session, and we’ll give you a care sheet that outlines everything you need to know about taking care of your tattoo after the session. Of course, we’ll also go over all of this verbally and answer any questions you might have. Please note that we have these documents available in different languages, as we want to make sure you fully understand our work, and we take our duty to inform you seriously.
When we’re ready to get down to business, your artist will clean and disinfect your skin, and then apply a carbon stencil. This is like a temporary tattoo that outlines the main features of your design, allowing you to “see the tattoo” on your skin and get an idea of how it will look. If you want to reposition it or make any adjustments, this is the last step where changes can be made, so now’s the time to speak up. We can erase and reapply the stencil as many times as needed, and we’ll gladly do so—so if you have any doubts about the placement, let us know, and we’ll make the necessary adjustments. (And don’t worry, if we notice any hesitation on your part, we’ll suggest it ourselves. ;). )
Once you’re absolutely sure everything is perfect, we’ll position you in a way that’s comfortable for you and that allows your artist to tattoo under the best conditions, ensuring the design meets your expectations and our high standards. Meanwhile, every ink and needle used on your skin will be recorded and stored in your client file by your artist. We always keep a record of what we use on you because we take your health seriously.

Once the tattoo is done, how does the session end?
When the tattoo is finished, we’ll invite you to our photo booth so we can capture your fresh new piece. Right after that, your tattoo artist will protect the tattooed area with a special bandage. You’ll then be all set to head home and relax. :).
To wrap things up in style...
As mentioned earlier, before your session begins, we’ll provide you with a care sheet summarizing the do's and don'ts so you can take the best care of your tattoo during the healing process.
The advice given should be followed for at least a month, until we check in with you again. Here’s a quick summary of the key points to demystify the post-tattoo period—it’s really simple :
1) Keep the tattoo and the surrounding area clean and moisturized,
2) Don’t scratch the tattoo during healing; it’s a normal part of the process, nothing to worry about, and it only lasts a few days at most,
3) Always respect point 2, even if "it really itches right now",
4) Avoid the sun, the sea, or the pool with a fresh tattoo,
5) Stick to point 4, even if it’s hot, even if you love the sun, and even if you think you can "be careful",
6) Respect point 5, even if you heard "it’s actually okay because my brother-in-law’s neighbor went swimming right after getting a tattoo and didn’t lose a limb.",
7) Don’t file a complaint against our shop if a surgeon recommends amputation due to ignoring point 6.
8) Don’t let friends touch the tattoo before it’s fully healed, even if it’s "just to see," and even if it’s "just a little, just once",
If you follow these instructions, along with the other details on our care sheet, you and your tattoo can live happily ever after in a mutually fulfilling relationship. You’ll even be able to kiss it soon, but that’s only after the healing is complete! Haha.

And then, is it over between us?
Getting a tattoo from us means trusting us to make a permanent change to your body, putting your health and well-being in our hands, so we agree, we owe you more than just a “thanks, goodbye”—you deserve better!
If you follow our instructions carefully, your tattoo’s healing period will take a month to fully complete (even though it may feel healed before that).
That’s why a month after your session, we’ll send you a message to check in on you. (Of course, we’re available anytime before that if you have any questions.) In most cases, everything is perfect, which is great—touch-ups are not always necessary, and are actually pretty rare...
However, it can happen that some areas lose a bit of ink during the healing process and may need a minor touch-up to make the tattoo look consistent. We want to make sure you have the best possible tattoo over time, so if needed, our message will be an opportunity for you to bring it up, even if you’re just a little unsure... We can try to advise you if you send us a photo, or even better, if you stop by the shop. If a touch-up is necessary, we can take care of it at that time.
Depending on your artist’s assessment, touch-ups may be free, which is usually the case, but in some instances, a small fee might be required to cover the cost of the materials used. This will be discussed with your tattoo artist.

I’m thinking about taking the plunge with you. What commitments should we mutually make?
Getting a tattoo is like being in a relationship. It requires effort from both sides. So, imagine the wedding music playing in the background, take a deep breath, and here we go :
The vows we make :
- To tattoo with the utmost respect for the art, particularly in terms of hygiene and health safety,
- To use single-use and sterile equipment, and to disinfect all reusable items before and after each use,
- To never replicate a design that was created specifically for you on someone else, and of course, to never tattoo a project designed for someone else on you. Our tattoos are unique works that consider the requests and particularities of each person, as they are custom-made for our clients. Therefore, we will never reproduce the same design twice. (Except, of course, in the case of matching tattoos or classic symbols that we didn’t invent and are already worn by half the planet.),
- To do our utmost to welcome you in the best conditions, make you feel comfortable, and do everything we can to ensure you have the best time possible with us,
- To receive you in a safe space where everyone is welcome and treated equally,
- To guarantee your safety and privacy,
- To always innovate and invest in equipment designed with your best interests in mind, at all levels...
The vows you need to make :
- To inform us as soon as possible, and at least 3 days in advance, if you need to reschedule or cancel an appointment,
- To arrive on time for your scheduled appointments and let us know if you’re running late,
- To be in full possession of your faculties when you come to us with a project and on the day of your tattoo session,
- To have good hygiene on the day of your appointment (Come after a shower, not just after participating in a mud day. 😊),
- To respect all staff, the shop, and the rest of our clientele—in short, the basics.

Are there any specific conditions I need to meet to get a tattoo from you?
Let us reassure you right away—whatever the case, we’ll go over everything with you when you come to the shop.
However, here are a few things to keep in mind so you can prepare in advance if necessary :
- You must be of legal age, not pregnant, and in full possession of your faculties. (Some of our artists may agree to tattoo minors, but only in the presence of at least one parent or legal guardian, and with documents proving the identity of both the minor and the guardian.),
- You should not have any medical conditions that are incompatible with tattooing: heart or autoimmune deficiencies, hemophilia, HIV, hepatitis B or C, diabetes, eczema (near the tattoo area), epilepsy, keloids, allergies, chronic dermatological diseases, etc., or, if applicable, have obtained a favorable opinion from a doctor,
- You should not be on any medication that is incompatible with a tattoo session (such as cortisone, anti-inflammatories, etc.), or taking any blood-thinning medications, or, if applicable, have obtained a favorable opinion from a doctor,
- You must not be allergic to latex, nitrile, inks and pigments, or any other products that could cause a reaction.
In general, if you have a specific medical condition, it’s best to consult with your doctor beforehand, and bring someone with you if necessary. Otherwise, we can discuss everything else when you’re here. 😉
Feel free to reach out if you need information about a specific case. It costs you nothing to get in touch with us.

Our Values.
I want to get a tattoo in complete privacy. Is that possible with you?
Absolutely. In fact, this is one of our core values.
There is, and never will be, an open space in our shop. Each room is designed for the privacy and comfort of everyone. The windows are made opaque with a special film, the doors can be closed if needed, ensuring that you’re shielded from any prying eyes at all times. If the idea of being alone with your tattoo artist makes you feel anxious, you can bring along a friend or loved one to stay with you throughout the session to help you feel completely at ease—this is entirely up to you.
You’re welcome to stop by the shop to meet us and take a look around. We’d be happy to show you our workspace and explain our process in more detail, so you’ll feel completely comfortable when you return for your session. ;).
You can also check out our many positive Google reviews, where feedback from our clients will help put your mind at ease. :).

I noticed in photos that you have two workstations per room. Is privacy still guaranteed?
Whenever possible, our artists work in a room dedicated to them. However, we do have two workstations per room because we aim to grow our business by offering even more original styles to our clients, whether through resident artists who bring their unique touch or guest artists who visit occasionally. If a second artist needs to work in the same room during your tattoo session, we can set up a screen that’s large enough to ensure your privacy and uphold our commitment to you. Promise kept! ;).
I have dark skin and I want a tattoo. Is that possible with you.
Let us be very clear: everyone, without exception, is welcome here. We want to leave no doubt about that. We would be more than happy to take on your project, regardless of your skin color.
Of course, tattoos may be less visible on dark skin compared to lighter skin, particularly with fine details and certain shading. This is why you might hear that some tattoo artists refuse clients with darker skin, claiming that their work wouldn't be as visible or well-highlighted. That kind of behavior will never be accepted in our tattoo shop—not just because it’s illegal, but because we proudly affirm that everyone here is treated equally. We are uncompromising on this point. Whatever your skin color, come see us without any hesitation, and we’ll be happy to bring your project to life.
If you’re considering a design that includes color, it’s important to understand that during the healing process, your skin (particularly the epidermis) will regenerate and create a layer of tissue over the tattoo ink. When you look at a healed tattoo, you’re actually seeing it through the "filter" of your skin. The darker your skin, the more it can alter the appearance of the colors. For example, on darker skin, red ink might appear more burgundy.
This is why we might advise against certain colors, as they could be too faint or might not look as you envisioned once the tattoo has healed.
We’ll make sure to give you all the necessary information to guide you in making the best decision and to avoid any unpleasant surprises. But beyond that, and regardless of the excuses some professionals might use, there’s no reason for you to miss out on getting a tattoo if it’s something you want! :).

I identify with the LGBTQIA+ community and I have reservations about stepping into an unfamiliar establishment...
Our studio is 100% friendly. Here, we are committed to providing you with a safe place where you have nothing to fear and will be treated completely normally.
This applies regardless of your orientation, sex, gender (whether you have one or not), or any personal decisions/facts of this nature concerning you. We would also not tolerate anyone disrespecting you within our premises, especially since it is a matter that concerns only you.
It seems so obvious to us that it shouldn’t even need to be mentioned, but given the world as it is, we want to leave no ambiguity on the subject.
We are here to offer you the best tattoo possible, advise you as best as we can, work on your design in collaboration with you, while doing our utmost to ensure you have the most enjoyable time with us. The rest is not our concern, and no discrimination has a place in our shop.
You will also notice that we try to use inclusive language in our communications whenever possible so that everyone can feel comfortable. (We do our best, and we don’t claim to be perfect 100% of the time on this point, so please don’t sue us over it. :D.)
If you wish and only in that case, we would also be happy to listen to your story, get to know you, in the context of a supportive conversation. Sometimes, this helps in feeling more comfortable by realizing that one is accepted as they are, and depending on the tattoo you wish to get, certain details of your story might even inspire your tattoo artist. Who knows! :).

I would like to come see you, but I have some form of phobia or social anxiety, which is a real barrier and obstacle in my daily life. What can you do to help me and make it easier?
We always respect each person’s particularities here. We place a significant emphasis on mental health, as we are aware of how important these issues can be in everyday life.
If this question pertains to you in any way, there are a number of things we can put in place together, depending on your situation, to ensure you are as comfortable as possible before, during, and even after your visit. The best approach in this case would be to contact us first by message so we can discuss it and ensure we are taking the best approach for you.
You can be assured of finding respect and understanding with us. This exchange will allow us to learn about your story, understand your situation, and better accommodate your needs by adapting to you and your expectations.
For example, if you let us know that you feel uncomfortable in public, we can meet you in a private room to discuss your plans, so you are not affected if there are people passing through our reception during your visit.
We can also make sure you are always alone with your artist, or, alternatively, that your chosen companion is always present. We can allow you all the time you need to breathe during our consultation/tattoo session if you wish, etc.
To share an experience, there was someone who wanted to visit us but was apprehensive about having to walk alone in an unfamiliar city amidst the crowd. After getting to know them* virtually, a member of our team went to meet them at the train station, accompanied them to the tattoo studio, where we were able to receive them while considering their particular needs. At the end of their visit, we accompanied them back to the station to ensure everything was going well.
What makes us particularly happy is that this person felt so comfortable with us that they have since managed to return and leave our shop on their own. We are glad to have been able to help them with this, and it is the greatest compliment we can receive in terms of client contact. They will probably read these words and will surely recognize themselves; we thank them again.
(*) Note: The use of gender-neutral pronouns is not a request from the person concerned. We have chosen to use them to maintain their discretion as much as possible.

I know someone who tattoos at home. Is it safe? What do you think?
In reality, there's nothing to "think" about this, as the law is strict on this matter: it defines a framework of hygiene and controlled environment to ensure that tattooing is done under good conditions and safely. This framework must be respected by all tattoo artists who practice their profession seriously; otherwise, they would be breaking the law. We ourselves are committed to the highest standards in this regard.
In practice, and despite any claims to the contrary, it is impossible to meet the conditions defined for tattooing at home. For example, and to name just one requirement, there must be a room dedicated exclusively to tattooing, with walls, floors, and furniture that comply with the regulations for this activity. This doesn’t even include waste management, such as handling of biohazardous waste, or the necessary prior cleaning of the environment.
For those who want to learn more, here are some links to explore the issue further :
- The SNAT website discusses this : The SNAT hygiene information.
- Articles R-1311-1 to R1311-5 of the Public Health Code (especially Article R-1311-4) : Legifrance : Some of the laws that every body modification practitioner (tattooing, piercing, permanent makeup) must adhere to.
- The decree of March 11, 2009, which addresses hygiene and cleanliness practices for tattooing : Legifrance: The detailed hygiene and safety regulations that a tattoo artist is required to implement.
- And even though it is less relevant for non-professionals, we also share the decree of December 12, 2008 : Legifrance: All the details about the training your tattoo artist is required to complete to practice legally and under proper conditions.

The Bottom Line: Money.
How long is my deposit valid?
Your deposit, which is paid for a specific project, is valid for 6 months. After that, and without an explanation from you, it will be forfeited, and you will need to pay a new deposit to reschedule. (Generally, we follow up and try to be accommodating depending on the circumstances, but just don’t overdo it... The marriage, mutual effort, all that. :).
Is my deposit refundable?
Your deposit represents a mutual commitment. In case of cancellation on your part, it will not be refunded. If you do not show up for the appointment for any reason, the deposit will not be refunded either. (We might discuss it if you were selected by NASA to be the first person to go to Mars and were in the middle of testing, or if you were kidnapped by four-armed beings from a demonic dimension on the day of your appointment; we know how to show humanity.) However, a selfie with Thomas Pesquet or a photo of your captors with their dimensional portal will need to be provided and authenticated by experts.
Can I reschedule or cancel an appointment in case of a problem?
An appointment can be rescheduled or canceled up to 3 days before the date without additional fees, in which case we will gladly reschedule it. However, beyond this period, your deposit will be forfeited, and a new deposit will be required to make a new appointment.
We reserve a slot for you, during which we must decline other clients, and prepare within the set timeframe, not to mention the time spent designing your project. Besides the unpleasantness of being stood up or notified at the last minute, the deposit serves to mitigate the loss of income this represents. (The marriage, mutual effort, you know. ;).)

But tell me, Bill Nye, how do the rates at Factorink work? Is it rocket science?
Well, rest assured, as The Science Guy would say, understanding our prices, it's not magic, it’s science! ;).
Here at our studio, there are no hourly rates that might sometimes lead to unpleasant surprises. Our prices are always communicated upfront and are based on the design.
A price range is set on the day of the appointment, taking into account the size of the tattoo, its placement, the level of detail in the design, its complexity, etc.
Our starting price is €80. For reference, this corresponds to a small, simple design or lettering up to a maximum of 5cm.
For larger tattoos, which may require multiple sessions to complete, a price per session will be determined. In this case, it means that your tattoo artist will be dedicated solely to you for the entire day.
